Accessibility for All Components

We'll add keyboard accessibility to all the currently active components in the Emarsys Design System, making it easier for product teams to follow accessibility standards. For deprecated components, please refer to the Migration Guides to update them.

Illustrated Message Component

We'll iterate on the Empty State component to make it more flexible and support more use-cases.

Horizon Theme

Released in 2022 Q4

We'll be implementing the SAP Horizon theme in the Emarsys Design System, giving our UI a fresh new look that's aligned with the latest Fiori guidelines.

Dialog Iteration

Released in 2022 Q3

We’ll be redesigning the Dialog component to support more customization options, a highly requested overlay-scrolling solution, and provide blueprints for a wider range of use-cases.

Datagrid Iteration

Released in 2022 Q3

We'll be implementing a set of improvements on one of our most robust components, the Datagrid. These improvements will address usability issues, add some highly requested features, and make the experience of Overview Pages better. Our aim is to make this iteration backward-compatible with the existing code, so product teams won't have to spend much time implementing the enhancements.

Convert CSS to Web Components

We'll be continuing to turn our older CSS components into Web Components to make implementation and maintenance easier for our developers. Needless to say, we'll be making these web components keyboard accessible as well!

We're aiming to cover the following existing components: Horizontal Tab Component, Vertical Tab Component, the Steps Component, and the Accordion Component.

Password Input Component

Released in 2022 June

We're expanding the list of our available form field components with a Password Input Component, which will include features that come handy when it comes to handling passwords, such as showing-hiding the password, and showing validation.

Confetti Component

We're planning to add a few components aimed at making our workflows just a bit more delightful for our users. One of these components will be the Confetti, which can be used to drive home the feeling of success after finishing a workflow. 🎉

Criteria Iteration

The Automation & Personalization Area has been working on an enhanced version of the Criteria component, and we're hoping to replace our existing component with this improved iteration. The new Criteria component will come with new features (such as nesting) and usability improvements.

The new Criteria component is called the Rule Builder component.

Keyboard Support for Common Components

Released in 2021 December

The Emarsys Platform will have an improved support for accessibility standards.

Navigation Sidebar, the Datagrid component, and the most commonly used UI elements are fully keyboard accessible.

UI Redesign

Released in 2021 November

As Emarsys has become part of the SAP family, our UI will be updated to reflect this relationship. The layout of screens won't change much, but we'll have a new color palette, a new typeface, and some updated Design System components and guidelines to help make Emarsys look like a SAP product.

Popup Utility

Released in 2021 June

Released as part of our 2021 June update, the Popup utility helps in the creation of custom popover panels. Before this, only certain components had the ability to display popover panels, but now it's a lot easier to give this functionality to UI elements. Later on, we'll be modifying the Design System components to use the Popup utility as well.

Suggest Input

Released in 2021 June

Released as part of our 2021 June update, our brand new Suggest Input component is an enhanced version of our text input. It displays suggestions from a list as the user types — similarly how search engines across the internet auto-complete your sentences. This component is really useful when we want to help the user enter a value that already exists in a list, but also want to give them the ability to use a new value that doesn't exist in that list.

Contextual Help

Released in November 2020

Nobody likes to get stuck while aiming to complete a task. While help portal still remains solid, we want to aid our users at the right time, to provide the correct information when they need it. Contextual help can be accessed from the Menu – by hitting the „?” icon. It will open a panel with relevant information for the page our user is browsing at the moment.

Icon Rework

Icons are a core visual component in the Emarsys Platform, and we’re going to rework them all for a more consistent look, and organize them in a more logical system.

Delighters - Skeleton States

Released in March 2020

These component states display a placeholder content to the user before the page finishes loading. These placeholder shapes make sure the expectations are set before the actual content of the page is visible.

We’ll be working on a redesigned Loading Spinner component that’ll match the new look of Emarsys. With this new spinner, we’re also aiming to reduce the perceived waiting time.

Drag and Drop

Drag and drop has been available in Emarsys on certain pages for a while. This time, we’re making a version that’s part of our Design System, so designers and developers can use our utilities to implement this advanced behaviour in their products. The new Drag and Drop behavior will debut in Emarsys Home.

Date-Time Picker

Communication and Automation is all about timing — and with the redesigned Date-Time Picker component, we’re determined to help our customers pick the right time to send their message, however complex their needs might be. The new Date-Time Picker component makes it super easy for developers to implement a powerful and modular date-time-interval picker in their product.

Multiple Choice in Action List

We’ll be making a flexible List component that can be used in many contexts across the Emarsys Platform. We’re planning to use this new List in the Select and Multiselect components, the Navigation, and in the upcoming Tactics filter bar. We’re aiming to make the List universal enough so when designers want to include some list-style layout in the product, they can use this component right away.

Redesign

Same Emarsys, brand new clothing! The redesigned UI brings the look and feel of the Emarsys Marketing Platform closer to modern trends — and also to the Emarsys brand itself. Beside the visual changes, we’ve also incorporated various UX fixes to make life easier for our users.

Menu Redesign

The Navigation menu has changed to make more sense for our users — with an improved structure and product-specific iconography. The new menu is a sidebar, to better accommodate our expansive product catalog and to save vertical space on the screen.
